Interested In Life Coaching?
When I tell people I’m a life coach they often look very confused, smile, and then as politely as possible ask, “What is that?”
It’s a moment that I kind of live for at this point because once I fully explain what a life coach is, people almost always answer, “I could really use one of those.” And it’s true, we all could. Especially those of us who have found ourselves existing in a world without parents, mentors, teachers, or simply someone that just gets us, which as technology continues to change how we interact with one another, see the world, and watch others live their lives, feels like everyone I come into contact with.
So What Is A Life Coach?
A life coach is simply that, someone who helps coach others in life. It can be professionally, personally, romantically, physically, or a combination of everything, After working professionally for 5 years as a certified life coach, I’ve created a methodology that is rooted in marrying our mind, body, and soul. I truly believe you cannot have lasting change without focusing on all three of these things.
Additionally, It is impossible to think you are going to just change one thing because as you start to really focus on yourself: your wants, your desires, and your life, you realize that everything is truly connected. As one thing starts to shift positively or negatively, everything else starts to shift in that same direction as well.
It’s the law of attraction, and whether you believe in it or not, this shit happens.
As I’ve continued to push myself to find more understanding, and help others do the same, I’ve jokingly started to call myself a grown up camp counselor. Initially, I thought it was a fun way to bring it back to the basics, and help others paint a quick picture of what I do. If you’ve ever been to camp, or watched a movie that brings kids to camp, you know it’s a place where you go to have fun, escape from your normal everyday life, try things for the first time, and exist in usually a beautifully scenic part of the world. Well, that is my idea of peace, and ultimately that is what I help others get back to, their own perfect camp, their happy place, their own inner peace.
